Giving America’s First Law School a Brand Update

In 2014, William & Mary underwent a visual identity overhaul, establishing a new logo, color palette, and comprehensive style guide. Once the university-wide brand was established, the next step was to bring the graduate schools up to date. The graduate schools’ branding as separate schools requires distinction in their visual identities while remaining complementary to the wider university system. From about 2015-2019, I worked closely with the Law School to redesign their website, signage, and marketing materials.

The New Viewbook

The viewbook is the primary marketing piece used by the Law School admissions team. Like the website, the look should draw from the primary William & Mary brand, while still having its own distinctive flair.
