Powerful Leadership

Upon President Taylor Reveley’s retirement from William & Mary, I was given the task of creating a commemorative piece to celebrate his legacy. It had to be something truly special - it would be a keepsake for President Reveley and those close to him.

I developed this piece from the initial concept, created the layout, and oversaw production through to final delivery.

This piece won two gold awards in the 2019 UCDA Design Competition, in the Special Publication and In-House Print categories.

Creating the prototype.

One of the criteria of this piece was that it should contain a comprehensive timeline of Taylor Reveley’s Presidency. I designed a unique, extra-long page that was folded accordion-style and bound into the center of the book.

As production of the book drew to a close, the client put in a last-minute request for coordinating formal invitations to the event at which the book would be given out. Using the leftover paper stock that was specially ordered for the books, I worked with the printer to produce some elegant invitations within a very short time frame.
